Contact the developer

Medifix is built and supported by a single developer at Mintlane. For bugs, feature requests, or anything else, email hello@mintlane.io — include your phone model and Android/iOS version if you're reporting a problem, it helps a lot.

Reminders aren't ringing

This is almost always one of two things:

  • Notification permission is off. Check Settings → Apps → Medifix → Notifications and make sure it's enabled, including the "Reminder" and "Critical alert" channels.
  • Battery optimisation is killing the app in the background. On Android, go to Settings → Battery → Medifix and set it to "Unrestricted" (the exact wording varies by manufacturer — Samsung, Xiaomi, and Huawei phones are usually the strictest here).

On iOS, critical alerts require the "Critical Alerts" permission to be granted separately from regular notifications — check Settings → Medifix → Notifications.

I lost my medication data

If you had cloud backup enabled, restore it from Settings → Backup. Without backup enabled, data stored only on the device cannot be recovered if the app is uninstalled or the device is reset — this is by design, since Medifix never holds a copy of your data on our servers.

Common questions

Is Medifix free?
Yes. Medifix is completely free to download and use at its core. There are no ads, no subscription required for essential features, and no hidden costs.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No. Medifix works completely offline from the moment you install it. There is no registration, no email address, no password.
Where is my medication data stored? Is it private?
All data is stored locally on your device in an SQLCipher-encrypted database (AES-256). Optional cloud backup encrypts your data before upload and stores it in your own Google Drive or iCloud — we never have access to it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling Medifix removes the local database from your device. If you enabled cloud backup, also delete the Medifix folder from your Google Drive or iCloud account.
