Contact the developer

Noralia is built and supported by a single developer at Mintlane. For bugs, feature requests, or anything else, email hello@mintlane.io — include your phone model and Android/iOS version if you're reporting a problem, it helps a lot. Since Noralia has no account and no server, we can't look up your data from our side — please describe what happened as specifically as you can.

Reminders aren't arriving

This is almost always one of two things:

  • Notification permission is off. Check Settings → Apps → Noralia → Notifications and make sure it's enabled.
  • Battery optimisation is stopping the app from running in the background. On Android, go to Settings → Battery → Noralia and set it to "Unrestricted" (exact wording varies by manufacturer — Samsung, Xiaomi, and Huawei phones are usually the strictest here).

This applies to period/phase reminders, the period care timer, the period kit reminder, and Premium's pattern-hint reminders alike — they're all scheduled locally on your device, so they depend on the OS actually letting Noralia run.

I lost my data / switched phones

Noralia has no cloud sync — nothing is recoverable from our side. There are two ways your data may still be safe:

  • Automatic local backup: if enabled in Settings → Backup, Noralia writes a backup file to your device's Downloads folder after changes. On a new phone, open Noralia, choose "Restore from backup" on the welcome screen, and pick that file (copy it over first if you're switching devices).
  • Manual export: Settings → Export lets you save a JSON file with your full data at any time — keep it somewhere safe, it's the only copy outside your device.

Without either of these, data is not recoverable after an uninstall or device reset — this is by design, since Noralia never holds a copy of your data on our servers.

I bought Premium but it's not showing on my new phone

Open the Premium screen in Noralia and tap "Restore Purchase". This looks up your purchase with Apple/Google using the account you bought it with — it doesn't need your old device. Premium is a one-time purchase per store account, so restoring works as long as you're signed into the same Apple ID / Google Play account you originally purchased with.

Common questions

Is Noralia free?
Yes. Cycle tracking, predictions, symptom and mood logging, app lock, data export/import, and deletion are all free, permanently. Noralia Premium is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks extended forecasts, custom symptoms, BBT tracking, the home-screen widget, PDF reports, and pattern-hint reminders — no subscription.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No. Noralia works completely offline from the moment you install it. There is no registration, no email address, no password.
Where is my data stored? Is it private?
All data is stored locally on your device in an SQLCipher-encrypted database (AES-256). Nothing is transmitted anywhere. Optional, anonymous crash reporting can be enabled in Settings, but it never includes cycle or health data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Use "Delete all data" in Settings to wipe your data instantly and permanently within the app, or uninstall Noralia to remove the local database from your device. If you have an automatic backup file in Downloads or a manual JSON export saved elsewhere, delete those too.
Does Noralia diagnose anything or replace my doctor?
No. Noralia's predictions and pattern insights are estimates based only on what you log — never a diagnosis, and never a substitute for medical advice. If something worries you, please talk to a doctor.
