Medifix update: a clearer way to choose your reminder times

In short

Simple mode's Morning/Midday/Afternoon/Evening picker used to start with Morning switched on by default, which made it easy to pick a different time and never notice Morning was still active too. It's now a plain list of switches with nothing on until you choose. Premium prompts also got a friendlier look — a badge instead of a padlock.

The problem: an easy way to leave something on by accident

When adding a medication in Simple mode, the time-of-day picker used to pre-select Morning automatically, so there was always at least one reminder set. If your medication was actually an evening one, the natural thing to do was tap Evening — but Morning stayed switched on underneath, silently, unless you noticed and tapped it off too. The result was a medication with two reminders instead of one, and no clear signal that anything was wrong.

What's changed: a plain switch list, nothing on until you choose

Each time-of-day option — Morning, Midday, Afternoon, Evening — is now its own row with its own switch, label and time range, and none of them start switched on. What you see is exactly what's set for that medication, with nothing to double-check against a hidden default. The Simple/Precise tabs above the list also got a higher-contrast, full-width treatment so the choice between them is easier to spot at a glance.

A friendlier way to ask about Premium

Anywhere the app mentions a Premium feature — like tracking how much of a medication you have left — used to show a padlock icon inside a heavy black-bordered box. It now uses a badge icon with a softer border, meant to read as "here's something you could add" rather than "you're locked out."

What that looks like in practice
